About Great Yarmouth Scooter Weekender
After 3 successful years at Eastern Beach Holiday Park in Caister, we relocated to Great Yarmouth Seafront in 2024.
Our main venue for the 3rd year running is The Nelson Hotel, just opposite the Sealife centre, with 3 function rooms and a large bar area.
NOTE: This is currently a small, friendly end-of-season event with great potential and grows a bit each year. We hope that with your continued support, we can grow it to take over more seafront venues.

THE GREGORY GANG
FRIDAY NIGHT
A favourite on the Mod, scooter and classic British music circuit, The Gregory Gang deliver an energetic set packed with anthems from The Who, The Jam, Small Faces, Paul Weller, The Rolling Stones, Oasis and The Clash. Known for getting audiences singing from the first song to the last, expect a lively performance full of Mod classics and timeless rock favourites that keep the party buzzing throughout.
CHIP PAULY
SATURDAY LUNCH
Known as "The Global Busker", Chip is a talented solo acoustic performer who has entertained audiences across the UK and around the world. With a huge repertoire spanning classic rock, indie, pop and singalong favourites, he creates a relaxed atmosphere wherever he plays. Whether performing in pubs, festivals or on the street, Chip's engaging style and crowd-pleasing set always make him a favourite.
ELECTRIC SOUL MACHINE
SATURDAY NIGHT
The Electric Soul Machine fuse razor-sharp original songwriting with the infectious energy of 1960s soul, R&B and freakbeat. Expect driving rhythms, vintage grooves and powerful vocals inspired by the golden era, delivered with a fresh, modern edge. Their high-energy live show blends timeless influences with original material guaranteed to get the dancefloor moving all night long with style and soul.

Approx. Distance: 5 miles
Start: Nelson Hotel, 1 Marine Parade, Great Yarmouth, NR30 3AG
Exit the Nelson Hotel car park onto Kimberley Terrace.
Turn left onto Shadingfield Close.
Turn right onto South Beach Parade and continue along the seafront.
At the roundabout, continue straight on South Beach Parade.
Turn right to the monument
REGROUP STOP 1 – BRITANNIA MONUMENT
Leave the Monument via Monument Road.
Turn right onto Salmon Road.
Turn left onto South Beach Parade and continue through the roundabout.
Continue onto Marine Parade.
At the next roundabout, continue on Marine Parade.
Turn right onto Euston Road.
At the roundabout, turn left onto North Drive.
REGROUP STOP 2 – THE IRON DUKE
Continue south along North Drive.
At the roundabout, continue straight, remaining on North Drive.
Turn left onto Marine Parade.
🍺 FINISH – BRITANNIA PIER
Park up at the pier and enjoy a beer together. Cheers!
DJ ALICE THOMPSON
Local DJ Alice Thompson will be returning for her 3rd year. Playing a great selection of vinyl records - from Northern Soul & Motown to R'n'B and Reggae.
DJ BILLY DOWNES
A regular DJ at GYSW Norwich based DJ Billy Downes will be spinning an eclectic mix of vinyl, featuring everything from Pre 69 Ska and Soulful Rocksteady to Lovers Rock, and Boss Reggae.
DJ CARL GREEN
Returning again this year is Damion's partner in crime. Their 'back to back' set at the 2023 weekender was so good the dance floor remained packed until the last song (and maybe a few extra...) Carl Green's sets will include the best 60's Mod, Beat & Soul.
DJ CHRIS HARE
Local Harbour Radio DJ Chris Hare will be spinning a dynamic vinyl selection featuring timeless classics from 70s Soul, Mod Beats, Reggae and Northern Soul.
Chris will also be joining Kev Andrews to host our '80s Top of the Pops' Party in the bar early on Saturday evening – so expect plenty of singalong anthems and classic chart hits!

A regular DJ at GYSW Damion Field who will be spinning a great mix of mod revival and scooter sounds.
DJ GEORDIE SOUL SISTER
Returning for her second year, Louise (DJ Geordie Soul Sister) is making the journey all the way from Newcastle to Great Yarmouth once again to join us for 2026.
Expect another fantastic set packed with the very best in Northern Soul, guaranteed to keep the dancefloor buzzing.
DJ KEV ANDREWS
A regular DJ at GYSW Kev Andrews will be playing vinyl records from across the board - including Jamaican Soul, Motown, 2-tone, R'n'B, Ska and Indie.

A regular DJ at GYSW. Little Miss Modette will be playing a selection of Northern Soul, Motown and Ska tunes over the weekend!
DJ PIP MAYHEW
Pip Mayhew is a well known face on the scooter scene - being part of the original VFM crew we are so lucky he has decided to come out of retirement for us!
