About Great Yarmouth Scooter Weekender
After 3 successful years at Eastern Beach Holiday park in Caister, we relocated to Great Yarmouth Seafront last year.
Our main venue is The Nelson Hotel - near the Sealife centre, where we have 3 function rooms, PLUS a large bar area. There will be entertainment in other local venues too, including The Prince Regent Pub - our Saturday ride-out destination.
NOTE: This is currently a small, friendly end-of-season event, but has great potential.... we hope with your continued support, we can grow it to take over more and more of the seafront venues.

Local DJ Alice Thompson will be returning for the 2nd year. Playing a great selection of vinyl records - from Northern Soul & Motown to R'n'B and Reggae
DJ BILLY DOWNES
A regular DJ at GYSW Norwich based DJ Billy Downes will be spinning an eclectic mix of vinyl, featuring everything from Pre 69 Ska and Soulful Rocksteady to Lovers Rock, and Boss Reggae.
DJ CARL BARNES
Returning for a 2nd year, Carl Barnes will be digging deep into his vinyl crates to bring you an unforgettable set of Northern Soul, Motown & R'n'B.
DJ CARL GREEN
Returning again this year is Damion's partner in crime. Their 'back to back' set at the 2023 weekender was so good the dance floor remained packed until the last song (and maybe a few extra...) Carl Green's sets will include the best 60's Mod, Beat & Soul.
DJ CHRIS HARE
Local radio DJ Chris Hare will be serving up a dynamic vinyl selection, featuring timeless tracks including 70's Soul, Mod Beats, Reggae and Northern Soul.

Another of our returning favourites; expect a captivating vinyl set from Chris Ireland with tunes ranging from Northern Soul, Motown to Ska and Reggae - and everything in between.
DJ CHRIS STARR
Chris Starr, a well known DJ on the Scooter Scene, will bring his passion for vinyl to the decks, playing an array of sounds including Tamla Motown, Northern Soul, Two Tone, Ska & Reggae.
DJ CONNOR RUMBALL
Here at GYSW we always like to support young DJ's. This year Connor Rumball (of Strictly Roots and Boots) will return for a second year after impressing the crowd. He will be playing a good range of Scooter sounds from across the board.
DJ DAMION FIELD
A regular DJ at GYSW Damion Field who will be spinning a great mix of mod revival and scooter sounds.
DJ GEORDIE SOUL SISTER
A new DJ for 2025 - Louise will be playing from her Northern Soul Collection.
DJ KEV ANDREWS
A regular DJ at GYSW Kev will be playing vinyl records from across the board - including Jamaican Soul, Motown, 2-tone, R'n'B, Ska and Indie.

Pip is a well known face on the scooter scene - being part of the original VFM crew we are so lucky he has decided to come out of retirement for us!
DJ STEVE GREENSIDES
Steve returns for his third year! A familiar face on the scooter rally scene and part of the Bootboy Radio crew, he’ll be with us all weekend for the first time—no diary clashes this year. Expect a top mix of Ska, Rocksteady, Northern Soul, and RnB.
